Uzbekistan is a shopper’s paradise. This 11-day journey to Uzbekistan, an extraordinary cultural craft and shopping destination, uncovers 3,000 years of Silk Road history, fascinating cultures, craftsmanship, festivals, and culinary traditions. Located in the heart of Central Asia region Uzbekistan has thousands of ancient architectural jewels, bustling ancient bazaars, caravan serais, fortresses and mausoleums which are protected by UNESCO. Visitors will participate in the Silk and Spice festivals, craft and dance, melon, and music festivals, will have master classes to make silk and embroidery purses, or just bargain for souvenirs. They taste wines of local wineries, enjoy Uzbek meals at the homes of local families, food tastings in Bukhara and Tashkent, and experience the beautiful landscape and sights of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.  This tour also includes the metro rides in the capital city of Tashkent, high speed trains from Tashkent to Bukhara and Samarkand and transfers to the ancient Silk Road routes for the lifetime experiences. Day by Day Details

Day 01. Tashkent

Arrival at Tashkent International Airport. You will be met by our rep and transferred to your hotel. Accommodation at 4 star or Boutique hotel

Day 02. Tashkent

Tashkent, the Capital city of Uzbekistan, was a central crossroads of the Great Silk Road for many centuries. It is renowned for its bazaars, handicraft centers, museums, art galleries, and ancient sites. Visit the 19th century historical site, the Abul Kasim Handicraft Bazaar, where you can see the craftsmen at work and appreciate the skill and techniques that create the object you buy. Visit the Silk Road section of Tashkent to see the Kukaldash Medresseh and the 2000-year-old Chorsu Bazaar (Eski Juva). Ride the gorgeous Tashkent metro and get a true taste of everyday life. Dinner at a Traditional Uzbek Restaurant.

Day 03-05. Tashkent – Bukhara

This morning we shall take a high-speed train to Bukhara to explore the legendary city. Bukhara is a fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Lyabi Khaus Complex, the Nadir Divan Begi Khanaka (traditional hotel for merchants), the ancient trade domes, the Poi-Kalon Ensemble with the greatest minaret of Central Asia. Something you will notice is that textiles are an integral part of life in this region. Young girls traditionally begin making their own embroideries and household items for their dowries from a young age. Even the most modest of homes is filled with woven, embroidered and appliquéd textiles. Under the shady mulberry trees which surround the reflecting pool at the Lyabi Khaus complex, the traditional heart of the city, tea and gossip reign, artisans sell their handicrafts and at night the colored lights give a festive air to the local dance troupe. Dinner and folklore show featuring local dancers, singers and a fashion show highlighting the fabulous local fabrics and designs. Day 06. Bukhara - Samarkand

After completing the tour in Bukhara you will take a high speed train to Samarkand. Upon arrival you will be accommodated at Grand Samarkand Superior. Sightseeing tour to Registan Square, the main attraction of Samarkand and an impressive place for holding the world’s finest old and modern music festivals and holidays, then visit Guri Emir Mausoleum.

Day 07-08. Samarkand

Sightseeing around Samarkand to the medieval Shah i Zinda Ensemble, an ancient necropolis of finely tiled mausoleums. We will also explore the Bibi Khanum Complex. At the Samarkand Green Bazaar enjoy the most delicious local breads, sweets and fruits.

We will visit the national costumes bazaar, the Samarkand Art & Crafts Center, and a traditional mulberry paper factory and silk making workshop. Photo opportunities from the highest point of Samarkand. Enjoy a traditional meal at the home of an Uzbek family.

Day 09. Samarkand-Shakhrisabz-Tashkent

Morning drive to Shakhrisabz and explore the ancient sites Ak Saray, Friday mosque and handicraft center. Meet the Shakhrisabz embroidery school masters. This evening we will take a train to Tashkent (the train schedule subject to change). Accommodation at Tashkent 4* hotel.

Day 10. Tashkent

Enjoy the last day tour in Tashkent. Visit the museum of applied and decorative art, Alisher Navoi Theatre, Tashkent TV tower, the fashion designers’ workshop. Farewell dinner.

Day 11. Tashkent

You will be transferred to the Tashkent International Airport for your departure.
